Minister Rechie Valdez, you're mistaken. This is not something Canada can recruit our way out of.
@Ontariosdoctors are facing financial strain, worsened by proposed tax changes. This could threaten physician practices and patient access.

Lots of talk that primary care is important, but very inconsistent pan-Canadian action at the PT level. The issue of pay and paperwork are issues brought up over and over again throughout the last 10 years.

Change is an action word.

Very concerned about this trend.

Keep in mind that this is an op-ed by Tom Mulcair

Thoughtful.

Despite…claims that the massive 33 per cent increase in capital gains tax inclusion will only hit 'those at the very top,' it soon became clear to all observers that that simply wasn’t true.…

A good explanation of a problem must do two things.

- it shows where the problem exists
- it shows where the problem does NOT exist, or (in the case of universal problems) whether the problem needs to be solved right now

Most persistent problems have bad explanations.

I really do believe this will be a critical turning point for Family Medicine in Alberta…

The new funding model will allow our FM docs to be paid competitively, and will incentivize longitudinal comprehensive primary care in our province!

Going to amplify this for all my MD colleagues out there.

Some good moves in healthcare in .

And while many MDs make a good living, for those incorporated MDs who don't (looking at family physicians in particular) there's some pretty bad news in this years budget…

Attending this event today. It’s such a critical issue & from a Canadian Medical Association perspective our physicians experience way too much abuse online when they do the important work of sharing trusted information

Most are one medical surgery away from Bankruptcy. Cost out various surgeries; i.e., colon, heart, kidney, etc.

Public works. Yes it needs some fixing, yet each day, thousands of lives are saved. We need to hear those stories There r lots of them. Jane Philpott

For all the folks hoping that private healthcare will lead to better access and healthcare experiences, keep in mind you’ll be paying a lot more than you think.

Public healthcare is broken in lots of places right now, but we can fix it.

29 years ago today we played on SNL (Saturday Night Live - SNL). March 25, 1995.

This also marked the beginning of a new opening to “Grace, Too”. Do you know the story behind how “fabulously rich” became “Tragically Hip”?
