We had a lovely Easter Rising memorial here in balbriggan today, thank you very much to the AsheFingal for organising it and promoting the history of our town which we should all be so proud of!
My thanks so much for the immense warm welcome from Balbriggan Hist Soc last night and for giving me an opportunity to tell Liam Lynch's story to an audience in Fingal. (Far from Liam's home, but much closer to mine!) Some brilliant, well-thought questions from those attending too.
On March 27th at 8pm in @brackencourt come to Balbriggan Hist Soc for their first talk of 2024 with Skerries native Gerard Shannon for a talk on Liam Lynch titled - To Declare a Republic: The life of Liam Lynch, IRA Chief of Staff, 1892-1923.
Admission is €5 & Members are free.
