Super helpful thread for experts trying to decide whether an academic or trade press is best for their book. As an agent who reps scholars in different disciplines, this is a question I often field. The Disordered Cosmos by Chanda Prescod-Weinstein's take is spot-on & more concise than my long-winded self can manage.
If any disability scholars out there are as pissed off as me about the way Fetterman's accessibility needs are being framed and want to write about it for Nursing Clio, I'll happily fast track it. Transparently ableist garbage.
Irwin Linker, my FIL, my children's only living grandfather, our namesake, passed away. He fostered the life of the mind and creativity, from which I & many others benefited. May we keep your memory alive in our work and art ❤
