You are a devotee of a serial loser. He was twice beaten by Monty. Rommel was an adherent to the Nazi cause, served Hitler personally and would have been implicated in a number of war crimes if he had survived the war.

During a recent routine Operation Shader patrol, 2 Royal Air Force Typhoons identified rockets being launched in Iraq against coalition forces.

To defend against this attack, our aircraft successfully used a Paveway IV precision-guided bomb to destroy the rocket launcher system.

Others said yesterday, but just to reinforce it: the £75 bn figure is based on the misleading assumption of flat cash for def for next 6 yrs. But it'll go up in cash terms anyway for other reasons and to allow for inflation. So 75bn will be netted down by whatever that amount is.

At the time of writing this post it is 25 April 2024 - ANZAC Day in Australia & New Zealand.
I would be quite remiss to not acknowledge the day by posting the ANZAC Requiem.

The figure announced by Rishi Sunak of an extra £75bn for defence over 6 years (should he stay in power) was the only thing that made the 2.5% pledge sound meaningful. But if it’s just a fudge (⬇️) that would be staggering given the threats. Now isn’t the time for smoke & mirrors
