BREAKING: On Tuesday, a fire gutted the Alamo Square home of Terry Williams, the Black dog walker who had earlier received racist & threatening packages featuring a doll w/a noose.

The fire left Williams' elderly parents displaced.

San Francisco's preliminary point-in-time homelessness count shows a 13 percent decrease in the number of people living on the streets or in tents since 2022 — the lowest in 10 years.

However, the measure of overall homelessness has risen.

Jackie Fielder failed to secure the endorsement of the Bernal Heights Democratic Club on Thursday night—by a single vote.

The club requires 60% of members present to agree to an endorsement. Fielder received by far the most votes, but fell shy at 59.4%.

The Dept. of Children, Youth, & Families is facing a $24M cut, part of the city's budget deficit, & now several children's summer programs are on the chopping block.

Much of the funding was used to offset costs for low-income families.
