Excited to share our work (Harsh Kanodia (parody), Flavio Donato) in the mouse model of Fragile X syndrome, where this highly penetrant mutation leads to PV neurons deficit in a specific brain axis, and could be rescued in the adult brain to restore their cognitive deficits.

Delighted that my PhD work is out nature. We advanced a genetically-encoded and temporally-controlled reporter (BRX), and various synapse marking probes (FingRs) and showed that BMP signaling is used as a trans-neuronal messenger to maintain the stability of cortical circuits!

Check out our newest preprint from Peter Scheiffele lab! We discovered the role for Bone Morphogenic Proteins in regulation of excitation-inhibition balance in the adult cortex. We also made it possible now to image and quantify glutamatergic synapses on the PV dendrites in vivo!
