Visit visa refusals can be so arbitrary and challenges against them so rare that I really welcome this and hope this leads to greater clarity in decision making.

To counter the politicians on the attack against “lefty lawyers” today. The last time civil legal aid rates were increased was in 1996 and rates were reduced by 10% in 2011. This represents a real terms cut of around 50%. No legal aid lawyer is in it for the money.
