Not so 'coding' as working in general, but I actually have a few answers:

1) The ergonomics of working on a laptop are inherently sucky however you cut it. If you're pulling long hours, this starts to become a real problem very fast.

2) I spend 99% of my time working on a

Swapping my desktop over to Fedora Project (@[email protected]) today after nearly 2 decades using (makes me feel old!). Reasoning: I like Fedora's out of the box support for for multi drive support and (by extension) easy snapshotting. Desktop: KDE Plasma.

I think this is one of the better pieces about that I've written (like most tortured artist types I usually loathe my own output). Could have written it about many tech ecosystems but headless was my target (words of praise for Astro) heyitworks.tech/posts/headless…

I owe my friends and followers in Ireland an apology for not commenting on the Bambie Thug fiasco and Ireland's surprise televote (no reason other than being unusually busy with work and off Twitter - I have a life off the internet!).

Have to say, delighted with that. I thought those of us calling for an Irish vote for Israel might sneak Eden Golan 3, maybe 4 points. 10 is just off the charts, and suggests a much wider sentiment out there.

This conversation in Ireland is relentlessly dominated by extremists.

Enjoying hosting Ghost CMS on my personal website now (one of the only tools that really delivers on the promise of creating an enjoyable authoring environment, IMO). This evening's quick thought about why I'm quickly becoming a fan and proponent of the movement:

'Meta' thoughts from diving into a lot of tech stuff over the past few weeks:

The world of technology is fascinating, as always, but I feel like technology, these days, is marked by 'it's getting hard to spot the real strands of innovation because everything is becoming so

One recurrent communication in my inbox at the moment (mostly from startups) that just feels 'so ... last decade ... are people really still trying this?' is spammy automated email cadences (spam is a pet peeve!)

You know the ones where opening an email triggers a cascade of 10
