Issues for R&R women include:

- lack of access to courts, any court

- limited access to magistrates at any hour in regional areas, resulting in non-legally qualified registrars/bail justices sitting on bail applications

- lack of police numbers in towns

The NSW figure includes 5 women killed by 1 male at Bondi Junction.

Of the total women killed, 17 of them, 54.8% were from a rural-regional location.

Rural-regional women make up less than 28% of Australia's adult population.
