It was really amazing to see Dr. Matt Thorstensen present Luke Belding’s work at CSZ-SCZ. Luke was a PhD student in our lab at UManitoba Science who passed away in 2020. He was a great office and lab mate, and fishing friend. I am so happy his work lives on 🎣

Jay Riggio used an AMAZING 11-year dataset of nestbox monitoring along Putah Creek, run by the UC Davis MWFB, to look at climate impacts on bird nesting success.

The dataset had >2000 nesting attempts in it!

One of my master's thesis chapters is now published! We show that purple martins prefer aquatic foraging habitats, and foraging range is larger for non-breeding birds. Open access here: rdcu.be/cVY72
