Not everyone wants to be a line manager… Yet often the only way to progress at work is through managing more. It forces people into roles they’re not good at and can result in a rubbish culture. What about promotions and pay rises just for being good at the actual work 👏🏻👏🏻

“By the time you’ve watched this I will have died.” Shortly before Paola died alone at Dignitas, she made this incredible short film with Rankin Britain's blanket ban on assisted dying robbed Paola of choice in the UK. Please sign her open letter dignityindying.org.uk/paola

“I don’t have a choice in this country. They have taken that away.” Paola knew she was facing a painful death. Our cruel law forced her to travel alone to Dignitas, before she was ready to die, to ensure she was well enough to get there. This is inhumane. Change the law.

For 50-years we've had a legal choice over who to love, for a decade we've had a legal choice over who we can marry. The time has come for Parliament to vote on changing the law to allow assisted dying, to help prevent terminally ill people from suffering very painful deaths.

Ahead of the #KingsSpeech tomorrow, we ask UKGovernment to set out its plans to halve #VAWG in a decade, and the tools it intends to use to tackle perpetrators. We need a response that truly matches the scale of the problem #StateOpeningOfParliament

James Timpson Probation needs more than staff. it needs less admin. Less forms. Better computers. Less time spent ‘back covering. And more time to allow staff dealing with daily trauma to reflect +gain respite for mental stress (hence encouraging experienced officers to remain in post) —

I once tried to put a ‘paper diary’ on expenses. It was £1.50. It was rejected as I was meant to be using computer based technology for appointments. I argued that the computer based technology was so bad I couldn’t rely on it hence the ‘back up’. Still refused.
