When Adil joined the lab, little did we know his project would take us on a wild ride that would teach us that spleen ECs are so *so* important for lipid-induced atherosclerotic progression. Check out his study in Nature Cardiovascular Research 🤩🤩 Can’t wait to see what he does next in Augusta!
We are thrilled to announce year two of our Personnel Awards for Black Scholars along with Brain Canada. These awards provide Black post-grad students a chance to continue their studies in heart & brain health. Competition closes on May 22, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. ET.
We were so fortunate to host Daniel J Drucker to present the Morris Kates Award at uOttawaBMI, hearing about the history of GLP1 drugs and encouraging trainees to keep pushing the field forward. 👏👏👏
Ohhhh! Two of the people in that pic I am lucky enough to call family. Let us always value the skilled voices of journalists, like Adrian Harewood, and all of the J-school grads that follow, to guide us.
It is so important that the data we generate as researchers be used for good and never evil. One of our global experts in all-things open science, Kelly Cobey, PhD, will be a key part of identifying dual-use research of concern and developing ways to protect it.
As researchers, it’s our responsibility to promote the highest level of integrity at every step of our research. It’s the only way to earn (and keep!) public trust. Karen Wallace is here UOHI Research Services to talk about what responsible conduct of research means. A full house!
