David Oliver Ollie Burton What beggars belief is, any rational doctor, when told by thousands of colleagues that they are endangering patients would naturally STOP and REASSESS. He and the GMC have done the opposite. ironically this behaviour in an individual would trigger a FTP review!

exveindoc Jen Johnston There is a problem here, and it’s a problem with leadership and the worst conceived rollout possible. If we do not safeguard trainees today, we do so at our future peril. Too much for a health service focussed on short termism

A cache of freedom of information responses on interactions between GMC, HEIW and others regarding Medical Associate Professionals. A vital read that justifies many doctor concerns about this. Diolch to those who did the work. paprojectwatch.wordpress.com/wp-content/upl… Some highlights 🧵 1/

The usual suspects get their panties in a twist when I post about grifting DEI jobs earning £60-80k pa They’re awfully quiet about this abomination which is even more grifty Imagine NHS Trusts using this £60k to incentivise existing staff to innovate on reducing discrimination!

This is an issue of enormous public concern GMC. If your public consultation on your intended regulation of physician associates closed on 9 May why haven’t results been shared with the public? How long are you going to keep Dr Rachel Clarke & the public waiting for a response?

Why is HEIW so strongly promoting the PA role? It seems puzzling. Could personal connections, such as the dean responsible for MAPs within HEIW being married to a PA, be influencing their approach...who knows? But something clearly does not add up.

Living with MS has its challenges. Each year I have another brain scan and each year I worry about new lesions and what they will mean. I’ve been very fortunate to have had no new lesions since diagnosis. 6 yrs and counting.
