Yesterday marked the second time this past year that a recent University of Washington graduate was killed in 🇮🇱🇵🇸. On Oct. 7, Hayim Katsman was killed by Hamas. And yesterday, Aysenur Eygi was killed by the IDF. Both were US citizens, working in different ways towards peace.

If the police in any US city had arrested Jewish women for distributing posters with the faces of our hostages, the US Jewish community would denounce this as antisemitic. But today here in Israel, three women were arrested for doing exactly that, and are now being investigated.

Abortion bans kill women. They criminalize life-saving care for pregnant patients, sacrificing their actual lives for the hypothetical interests of a fetus. A vote to ban abortion is a vote to inflict unnecessary and avoidable agony and death on women. These laws are sadistic.

Yes, Republicans passed abortion bans that are killing people. But hospital administrators are the ones choosing to OVER comply with bans and telling doctors to wait to intervene until the last possible moment, instead of saying, take care of your patients and we will back you.
