Poor Marty Moops. He’s struggling and it’s just not fair.

Today was not a good day.

Just had to take Marty to the emergency vets. He just is in so much pain. He’s had an injection tonight. Disappointed his UK vet didn’t call today. Chased twice. She’s had the X-rays. Feel helpless.

Today can get in the bin.

Woohoo! Paid off Marty’s op today. But he’s due back Monday unless today’s test show otherwise. Worried he’ll need a revision and there’s no insurance left. Poor guy. My birthday trip may be off but I don’t care.

Marty is perturbed about the lack of breakfast today. He’s sulking in the living room! Off soon so keep fingers crossed for some good news please 🤞🏻

Marty got some good drugs at the vet. Back in tomorrow to have some X-rays and sedation. Then I’ll know more.

Taking Marty to the vet tonight. For some pain relief (presumably) and X-rays. That’ll go to his specialist vet for assessment. What a worry. And the poor guy despite all the pain is just the waggiest woof there ever was 💕

Made the Nigella Lawson Lasgane of Love today and hope I’ve done her proud! Smells amazing. Now trying to wait the 30 mins to eat it!

Made my meat sauce for the lasagne. I think Doc approved! And don’t judge me for letting him have it. Marty had some too but Doc is the greedy one. It is why he’s called bakery boy (he’s got the rolls 😂)

I am in London next month before my birthday trip and really want to see the Barbie movie. At 51, can I go on my own and not look weird?! Thinking of the cinema that does wine so maybe less kids. Not that I hate kids but maybe more adults there.

I tell ya. Twitter has shown me such kindness this weekend. It is falling apart thanks to you know who but the good ones are still here. Thank you!

Had a good cry today. Don’t feel any better for it. So much going on at the minute. Worried about Marty. Just normal life stuff but feels a lot. Anyway next I need to do some ironing and make a lasagne. Get myself together.

No one shall ever again lock Damian Lewis doing the national anthem at Silverstone having seen the dude doing the Belgian anthem at today’s F1!

Tonight’s dinner is steak, dauphinois potatoes, garlic mushrooms and asparagus. Potatoes in the oven. Now I wait!

Just spent 4.5 hours drinking wine and eating tomatoes, Burrata and balsamic. But now home and have a a dog to walk (maybe 2). Today has been a good day. Marty is better. It’s all good.

Ok. The boy seems better. The drugs clearly worked. Phew. So taking myself and my new dress out for a wine with friends later. Just missing that thing called summer weather 🤷‍♀️
