This week I joined Earl Blumenauer and Portland Bureau of Planning and Sustainability to celebrate the addition of the Jim Pepper House to the National Register of Historic Places. Pepper was renowned for his compositions melding popular jazz music with rock, folk, and especially traditional Native American music.

Yesterday, we hosted another group from the Japan Intercultural Academy of Municipalities! They met with City leaders and staff. We discussed best practices, neighborhood associations, and advisory bodies. We are proud to support this diplomacy and collaboration! #pdx #Portland
