We need to start embedding climate change #adaptation as a way of life.

Only 54 developing countries have a National Adaptation Plan (NAP).

The UN Climate Change and partners will support the other 100 developing countries in formulating their NAPs and identifying the needed funding.

The new national climate action plans - NDCs 3.0 - are the investment plans for the future.

The more each nation treats its #NDCs as an economy-wide blueprint for growth and jobs, the more opportunity and security it will provide its people.

I am deeply saddened by the sudden passing of Mr. Daniel Machado da Fonseca, Head of the Climate Action Division at Itamaraty Brasil 🇧🇷, Brazil.

His firm dedication to promoting global climate action has left an imprint on us all.

He will be missed dearly.

Finance is at the centre of the effort to transition to a post-fossil-fuel world.

Current climate finance flows are far short of the trillions we need for clean energy transitions and adaptation efforts.

Simply speaking, we need more money flowing to developing countries.

Imagine what the world will look like in 2050 if we succeed in limiting global warming to 1.5°C and protecting all peoples from climate change impacts.

It will take an Olympian effort to get us there.
