During a mid-year press briefing on 23rd August 2024, Ruth Nankabirwa Ssentamu provided an investment overview of Uganda's Oil & Gas sector, highlighting $20B invested in key projects: $4B in Upstream, $6B in EACOP, $5B in Midstream (Refinery), and $5B in Kabalega Industrial Park.

The minister emphasized Uganda's commitment to local content in Oil & Gas where $5B in contracts was awarded, with $2B (41%) to Ugandan companies. Employment: 14,451 people, 90% Ugandans (13,048), including 4,483 sourced locally from communities.
