Espresso x Arbitrum Update

Two Arbitrum chains used Espresso for decentralized, shared sequencing on our latest testnet, a bridge demo between Arbitrum Nova chains was deployed, and ongoing R&D work is moving forward.

Espresso is really a marketplace for shared sequencing versus being a “shared sequencer”. Rollups can sell sequencing rights ad-hoc to shared proposers, including the Ethereum L1 proposers.
