The attendance of 6,640 at The Racecourse was over 4,000 more than the highest crowd in the previous 18 games in the EFL Trophy Northern Section this season (Barnsley v Man United 2,638). Only local game Birmingham v Walsall has recorded a bigger gate in the whole competition.
