The loss of cheaper degrees via Open University has, to my mind, been one of the biggest losses in education of the past 14 years.
I’ve written about it repeatedly: theguardian.com/education/2013…

Shout out to every school leader who was picking up Y11s this morning, handing out bananas on the gate, resolving last minute revision worries, giving inspirational speeches. Thank you for what you do.

My other half is working at my school for a couple of weeks, so he does the driving and I get to spend my commute reading the new Alex Quigley book that I've been looking forward to since his presentation at researchED Birmingham

👇This is a beautifully written (and top-notch) testimonial by the brilliant Alex Quigley. ‘Teaching One-Pagers’ cuts the clutter and distils edu-research into digestible pieces for information hungry teachers. The book is out May 24 via John Catt Educational from Hodder Education
