Thanks to President Biden's Inflation Reduction Act, the IRS developed the Direct File Pilot for eligible taxpayers. IRS Direct File saved time and money for over 140,000 taxpayers and provided the lessons necessary to determine next steps.

Of all the things I was lucky enough to work on, this might be my favorite. You shouldn’t have to pay money to pay your taxes. As this program continues to grow, most people will get pre-populated forms and be able to file their taxes with a few clicks in a few minutes.

The IRS says 140,803 people successfully filed their taxes with the agency's free direct file pilot program – exceeding their goal of 100,000.

On the one hand, a bunch of middling three point shooters hit more than half their 3s at a high volume. Seems unsustainable.

On the other, the Miami defense clearly bothered the Celtics and Jrue and Porzingis disappeared under pressure.

Definitely more worried than confident.

Here is what it looks like when the government starts working for working people. This week alone the Biden administration has:

-Banned noncompetes
-Ensured millions more workers get paid overtime
-Forced airlines to automatically refund you when they mess up your flights

One of the things I most admired about @potus from my time in the administration was his ability to focus on achieving the end goal and not get distracted by winning a news cycle or scoring cheap political points. It served him well on infrastructure, CHIPS, gun safety, and more.

This new rule is a massive deal. It will transform America’s nursing homes so they’re safer for residents. And it will reduce burnout among nursing home staff who are trying their best but are stretched too thin.
