I’ve just met with school leaders dealing with RAAC. What they are doing and having to do is beyond belief and yet they are being creative, finding solutions, being innovative literally overnight. They are the ones who deserve our thanks. They are remarkable once again.

The government can afford HS2 that no one needs. But it says it cannot afford to build safe schools for children without cutting spending on their actual education. If that isn’t a measure of how screwed up this country is I am not sure what might be.

I've thought for some time that everything the Tories do now smacks of pisspoor, lazy, rightwing radio phone-ins from twenty or thirty years ago (& some still at it!) It's 'bring back national service' today. Put a tenner on 'bring back the death penalty' by the end of the year.
