It depends what the second jobs are as if an MP’s work was in the medical profession he/she may need to do the minimum of work required in order to remain registered

Some MPs are briefing newspapers that they'd stand down if they couldn't have second jobs as they couldn't possibly live on £82,000 per year.

MPs are in the top 5% of earners. That's plenty enough. Ban second jobs for MPs.
