This morning I finished Sylvia Molloy's DISLOCATIONS (trans. Jenny Croft & forthcoming from Charco Press), a fantastic book about the gradual loss of a friend to memory loss. 'Because only total oblivion allows for unscathed return; in some sense, she's gone back already.'

One side benefit to being unable to sleep on planes is I was able to read two great books translated by two great translators (⁦Robin Myers⁩ and Martin Aitken) from two great publishers ⁦(⁦Charco Press⁩ and ⁦Archipelago Books⁩).

Marina Sofia I read some of this when it was still in blog form on the Charco Press website. Looking forward to reading it all (and Never Did the Fire) now I have a copy of both thanks to Beth Caygill 🇪🇺 🏳️‍🌈
