Does diversity make teams work better?

Apparently not!

A new, comprehensive preregistered meta-analysis found that, whether the diversity was demographic, cognitive, or occupational, its relationship with performance was near-zero.

Seems unlikely. The leaders of the protest are from Students for Justice in Palestine.

SJP is a subsidiary of the WESPAC Foundation, which also fiscally sponsors Within Our Lifetime.

Cornell has decided to bring back standardized testing.

They've found two big things:

- Kids with test scores had better grades in college.
- Dropping test scores barely impacted any dimension of student body diversity:

In February of 2023, I wrote that the age-crime curve had been collapsing in the U.S.

A new paper shows that part of that collapse is down to an abrupt shift after 2008, where the proportion of all male arrests due to 15-19 year-olds declined by 40% by 2019.
