Does diversity make teams work better?

Apparently not!

A new, comprehensive preregistered meta-analysis found that, whether the diversity was demographic, cognitive, or occupational, its relationship with performance was near-zero.

Seems unlikely. The leaders of the protest are from Students for Justice in Palestine.

SJP is a subsidiary of the WESPAC Foundation, which also fiscally sponsors Within Our Lifetime.

WESPAC in turn receives funding from the Tides Foundation

If I paid $70,000 in tuition and fees and another $20,000 in room and board, all for my university to become a tent city and for my profs to pivot to Zoom while the sister-school profs do their own revolutionary LARPing routine, I do think I would lose my everloving MIND.

In February of 2023, I wrote that the age-crime curve had been collapsing in the U.S.

A new paper shows that part of that collapse is down to an abrupt shift after 2008, where the proportion of all male arrests due to 15-19 year-olds declined by 40% by 2019.

2019: 151 murders
2023: 182 murders
That's an all time record high. ( surpassing the previous all time high set in 2020)

The concept of a 'national trend' is flawed. Crime is local. My article in Vital City vitalcitynyc.org/articles/homic…

This week I had the opportunity to visit SCI Chester, a state prison outside Philly, to see one of the most interesting experiments in incarceration.

Given that 95% of inmates will eventually be released, it's imperative that time spent in prison is rehabilitative and promotes
