Absolutely buzzing to hear the news that Cllr. Lilian Seenoi Barr (MRS BARR)-SDLP is now the Lord Mayor for Derry/Londonderry. As a black woman living in Northern Ireland this fills my heart with pride. I am sure she will do a brilliant job for everyone in the area.

I’m so delighted for Lilian Seenoi Barr, who will make an excellent SDLP Mayor of Derry & Strabane. She rises to the moment on every occasion and challenges every one of us to do the same. Her history making election is the latest step in Derry’s long and proud march of progress.
