A family affair on Blue watch today as Station Officer Robert O’ Brien was working alongside his son, Probationary Firefighter Colin O’ Brien.

Roberts late father (also Robert) also served in the Brigade, along with his brother Steven

Crews have dealt with a serious road traffic collision on Carrs Hill this evening.

Crews from Ballyvolane, Headquarters and Cork County Fire Service are currently dealing with a Road Traffic Collision on the N20 Cork City to Mallow Road.

Diversions are in place, slow down on approach.

This week our new recruits have taken another step closer to finishing their initial recruit firefighter training in Ballyvolane Station

The module took the ff’s through Road Traffic Collision tools, equipment, scenarios & extraction techniques which they will use when on watch

We are delighted to support Gardaí in Togher with their Open Day on Saturday, 13th April 2024.

Our appliance and crew will also be in attendance, All members of the public welcome!

Our recruits are completing their Road Traffic Collision course this week.

Part of the course includes An Garda Síochána officers from the RPU discussing forensic collision investigation and evidence preservation.

Crews from Anglesea and Ballyvolane are dealing with a large number of incidents as a result of Storm Kathleen around the City and County.

Currently Ballyvolane are in attendance at substantial tree blocking the road between the Riverstown Bar and Monkey Maze

Our recruits have completed their breathing apparatus training, another milestone passed in their training.

This intensive 2 week course teaches new firefighters how to navigate through dense smoke and high temperatures safely.

We were delighted to support Irish Cancer Society Daffodil Day again this year by taking part in their collection.

This intensive 2 weeks course teaches firefighters how to work and move safely in pitch black smoke, along with sessions on hose management, casualty handling and use of Thermal Imaging Cameras

Crews have finished up at the scene of a serious Road Traffic Collision on the Lower Glanmire Road ⚠️

The road remains closed, there are diversions in the area.
