Since joining TSA in 2017, my top priority has been our workforce. I am pleased to announce that we have reached a new Collective Bargaining Agreement with AFGE covering all of our bargaining unit employees beginning May 24, 2024.

In Las Vegas, I met so many inspiring NAWLEE and Homeland Security leaders. A heartfelt thank you to everyone I met for your dedication and commitment to keeping the American people safe. There is no limit to what we can accomplish when we work and rise together.

The TSA and DHS S&T Innovation Checkpoint at Harry Reid International Airport is testing technology, like self-service screening, that will revolutionize air travel. Investments in innovation like these are critical to building the most safe, efficient, and user-friendly airports possible.

In 2023, Harry Reid International Airport handled over 57 million passengers. I met with and thanked the local TSA and CBP workforce who made that possible – for all they do to keep travelers, their belongings, and the American public safe and on schedule.
