Guilty. Wow.
A moment of truth has been spoken from within an incredibly broken system. For that I am relieved.
But this is not justice. Nowhere close to it.
Process however you need to. Such complex emotions today. This is not as simple as a victory.

So grateful to all the scientists who worked so hard to make the COVID vaccine a reality, to all those who worked so hard to package, deliver, and administer it. I am so privileged to have gotten a dose today. I’m praying for more access for everyone soon. Here’s to hope in 2021.

As a first-gen medical student what I’m about to share means so much to me:

This week I published my first, first-author publication in NEJM about the need for increased representation of Black people and minority populations in learning material.
