NHSE justify replacing GPs by non-doctors because it’s “cost saving for the NHS”

But it’s not at all!

As GPs we’re trained to deal with uncertainty & hold risk. We know when NOT to investigate/refer - the most challenging skill of all.

We can manage the vast majority of…

Hospitals are falling apart as the govt falls apart. How can any govt allow hospitals to decline so much into disrepair that they fall to pieces and patient appointments cancelled. Shame on them. theguardian.com/society/articl…

It's harder than ever to be an NHS patient, says Steve Taylor.

💙GPs know that NHS patients are suffering because of chronic under-investment in our NHS.

Demand that your election candidates commit to increased funding for our NHS:

ARRS £is diverting much needed funding from core GP services. NHSE &the government prefer to use this for allied staff rather than employing much needed GPs. This way they can say that they have paid for x number more staff in primary care. It’s a smoke and mirrors numbers game.

ICBs need to get the genuine costs of acute Hub appointments

NHSE / ICB leaders are failing by funding more expensive appts, whilst stripping GP practices

Funding for Acute Respiratory Hubs average £48 per appt
GP appt £20 not being funded 🤷🏻‍♂️

Why are NHSE/ICBs pursuing plans that cost more, reduce patient care?
Same day access plans are dangerous, fail patients, are being driven by failed understanding of data/needs

What an absolute shambles this is

Government & NHS England board are accountable for workforce planning.
Promoting roles other than Drs, hospital training programmes with not enough posts.
Funding roles other than Drs in General Practice

Interesting piece on . Important to see evidence of the positive patient testimonials mentioned. I get in theory all the potential positives for patient experience but i do worry we're only hearing from those with the capacity to speak up.

It’s telling that the GMC feels the need to publish this.
There would have been no need for this if the GMC had kept to its remit to be the ‘Independent regulator of Doctors’.
They are not independent of Government & don’t listen to Doctors who finance them.

Mr Finkelstein suggested yesterday that every Dr that was convicted of breaking a law should expect a suspension

The law is a complex set of rules that even our country’s leaders fall foul of but continue to work

Protest is unlikely to be a law break that impairs a Drs practice
