PC Joe McCarthy has been working with National Construction & Agriculture Theft Team who received some intelligence about the location of a stolen digger. After a cross county drive and a bit of hedge hopping he found it!

Today we accompanied our colleagues from Trading Standards to check on the welfare of some pigs in #Mountnessing .

We are pleased to report everything was ok and the pigs were well cared for.

A Range Rover stolen in #Billericay was recovered by us in Essex Police in Basildon District.

And in #Ongar a disqualified driving with no insurance and a child without a car seat had his car seized by the team.

The team were out yesterday evening conducting speed checks in #Kelvedon . This driver was stopped after being detected at 42MPH in a 30MPH zone. He also failed a drug test so had a free lift to custody. #VisionZero

The ring was identified as Treasure
It was failed to be declared within the relevant times
The finder has been issued a Community Resolution & educated in the Treasure act

The team have been busy in Essex Police in Colchester District this morning.

We visited the cattle market and caught up with TradingStandards and farmers from across the region.

We then visited Highwoods Country Park to chat with dog owners and walkers.

Another stolen vehicle recovered by the team this morning.

This motorbike was being used to commit crime after its theft. Located in Essex Police in Chelmsford District and now off the road.

The team held a joint dog engagement event with Colchester City Council park rangers at Gosbecks Archaeological Park this morning.

We focused on responsible dog ownership, microchipping, livestock worrying and protecting ground nesting birds at the site.

Today a road roller was reported as stolen from Essex Police in Colchester District overnight.

Within 45 minutes of the call being received, RET had located it in Essex Police in Basildon District and returned it to its owner.

That's the level of service we aim to provide 👊

The team were in Halsted in Essex Police in Braintree District on Friday for the local launch of Dog Watch.

Aimed at keeping dogs safe, this scheme is open to all Essex dog owners.

Last night we responded to community concerns around speeding in Kelvedon in Essex Police in Braintree District.

Sadly highest speed recorded was 50mph in a 30mph zone. Ticket issued.

Last night RET visited Kelvedon & Feering Beaver Scout's.

The Beavers were treated to a talk about the role of a police officer, had a look around one of our 4x4's and got to try on police uniform.

RET have been out patrolling our heritage today. Hilly Fields in Essex Police in Colchester District contains a Scheduled Ancient Monument.
We are working with the Colchester City Council park rangers to keep the site safe for everyone.

The bikes are back! Now its stopped raining we were out on rural cycle patrol in Essex Police in Chelmsford District this morning.

9 miles along the river Chelmer, engaging with dog walkers and boat owners. We visited a farm for a catch up with the owner and gamekeeper.
