For Carbon Brief, I plotted every extreme weather event in Africa recorded in the Emergency Events Database for 2022
Latest UN Climate Change report is no good news. National climate plans remain insufficient to keep 1.5 within reach, save lives & livelihoods.
Emissions need to be cut 45% by 2030, but they’re set to increase 10.6%.
Govt's must get serious & urgently bridge the ambition and action gap!
