BMZA was to deliberate on May 21, but the proponent’s counsel wouldn’t be able to attend and asked that it be pushed to June 18. Deliberations do not involve any interactions with either side, but an applicant can delay their own case if they want.

It’s financial disclosure day for City employees. When my COS asked my other staff last week if they’d filed yet, I remembered I filed in January. Then I remembered that I actually wrote the law requiring elected officials to file in January.

There were 112 homicides through April in 2022; there are 58 as of today - a 48 percent decline over two years. There's much that could be sliced and diced regarding other categories of crime, but this category is very clear and cannot be misstated.
