Good quality costs money. Without a long-term sustainable funding solution, higher education quality will decline.

Going to stop tweeting out the Office for Students report now, in order to pick the bits of my shattered chin off the ground. Here's a not-implausible modelling scenario: an 11% decline in overall student number means £4.5bn lost revenue, 75% of providers in deficit. Arg. 😱
