I’m about as much against benefit fraud as anyone else. And I dislike the “something for nothing” culture.

But some benefit recipients are sick with diseases like cancer.

Do we really think cancer patients should be cleaning the streets to earn their meagre £150 a week?

Just so I’m clear, the idea is that we should be celebrating that a person who was “illegally” here was paid money to leave, and that somehow this is a disincentive to others “illegally” entering the UK?
