A late Grey Bush-cricket yesterday along with the mine of Agromyza filipendulae on Meadowsweet, the latter the 2000th species recorded Dawlish Warren this year.

Having carefully checked and having seen no sign of grasshoppers (even in the sunshine) for the 4 last days, thought it might be time to cut the back 'lawn' for the first time in 5+ months.

Cue this grasshopper turning up to change my plans. 🤦

Tried to get closer but with one jump this lighter coloured Dark Bush Cricket was gone ....into a bush!

Roesel's bush-cricket I do believe at Badbury Rings today.

A wander out onto the Sandlings at Hollesley Heath over the weekend was brightened by a fine display of flowering Bell Heather, Ling and Western Gorse.

Pretty certain I also found a male Sickle-bearing Bush-cricket which must have recently colonised Suffolk?
