Great talk from Harmit S. Malik on genetic conflicts during meiosis ! #drosophila Thanks for visiting Université Clermont Auvergne Institute Genetics, reproduction & development Antoine Molaro
Harmit S. Malik I've only had 1 trainee invite so far, but it made me feel special 💫 As a PD at the NIH, we were entrusted to invite & host SEVERAL speakers a year, which was an amazing opportunity and fun! We got spectacular speakers 💁🏽♀️

My vanity project: visit former trainees in their new digs before I retire. I’m headed to beautiful Clermont-Ferrand (which I only previously knew as the place where the amazing Chantal Vaury worked) to visit the irrepressible Antoine Molaro before International congress on transposable elements begins on Saturday.
Big week for the lab: First, I'm super excited to have Zack Skovgaard and Cassidy Pitts officially join the lab as PhD students! They had killer rotations doing single-cell trajectory inference and CUT&RUN tech dev, respectively, and I can't wait to see what's next for them 1/4
Harmit S. Malik We’re working on it! 😁
Not a departmental seminar, but shared motivation to build bridges b/w faculty and trainees – and we’re lucky to have many faculty who are generous with their time.
