Genuinely never loved working somewhere as much as I do (CLES) Centre for Local Economic Strategies. Don't get me wrong, it is HARD work, but waking up every morning knowing you're going to work with interesting people on exciting ideas is 🤩

Defo take a look at these jobs, DMs open for anyone wanting info.

Really pleased to have been part of this work by Sean Benstead. So many interesting things to unpick, particularly around accountability and how national economic vision plays out in local delivery (🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 case study really interesting in this regard).

Read, read, read!

Personally, I fail to see how low levels of staff wellbeing and poor productivity represent a good use of public money.

This is such a good job: you get to work with a fantastic team, really varied workload, really interesting org (not that I'm biased, eh?).

Hard recommend and happy to chat to anyone who's interested (and RTs appreciated x)

Don't know why you're so surprised. You were cc-d into plenty of emails and asked to get involved multiple times. Are you surprised when the sun comes up in the morning too?

Final reminder for my folk - this is tomorrow and it's looking like another lovely sunny day - how better to spend it than a little wander and catching some bargains? Books, clothes, toys, bits and bobs a plenty.

We're thrilled to reveal the bottomless hole recently installed in the centre of our main space.

The hole, which descends to unfathomable depths, emits an strong sense of dread and mystery and will make for a fun addition to busy community events and children's actvities.

Delighted to have been involved with this work - and this tread is a vital read for anyone who wants to know why community-run markets are special...

Correct - the cuts to council funding since 2010 have been astronomical, during a decade where demand for their services have sky rocked

Meanwhile, levelling up round 2 funding equates to £22/person in Yorkshire & Humber, £41 in NW England & £47 in NE England

Is there a name for knowing you should read Sunday’s POLITICO but not wanting to do so because to do so breaks the spell of the weekend? Politi-can’t?
