The Michaela School states it complies with the legal requirement to provide a daily act of worship which under S.70 of the SFFA98 must be broadly Christian.

I dunno, lads: if - as she seriously seems to believe - getting higher than average GCSE progress scores can only be achieved by daily bouts of singing 'God Save The King' and banning gay kids from hanging out with each other, maybe it's not worth it.

Controversial, but I think Miss Smith has a point about autonomy/creativity. When I first moved here, I tried new ideas all the time- I read loads and was reflective in my practice.

Now (idk if it's age) I definitely have settled into doing 'enough'. The drive is missing 🤷🏾‍♀️

Can someone clarify the use of the term ‘non faith’ in this article? I was under the impression schools were ‘non denominational’ but all under a duty to promote the spiritual development of pupils. Moreover to provide a daily act of collective worship? 🤷‍♀️bbc.co.uk/news/uk-englan…
