Born on this day a century ago Frank Brennan 6'3'Rock of Tyneside' he was without doubt one of the best CH to ever represent NUFC. He was the 'King Pin' of the glory years of the 1950s with NUFC where he was a FA Cup winner in 1951 and 1952 and he gained international recognition

Awful incident yesterday involving South Shields FC supporters returning from watching their team. 17 hospitalised although BBC News reporting no fatalities.

Thoughts with all involved and here's wishing a full recovery to everyone.

Our thoughts go out to the supporters involved in a crash on the way home from today’s game.

At this moment of time we have no further details, however we hope everyone is safe and recovering.
