Honoured, on behalf of Kenya Red Cross, to give an update on the humanitarian situation in the country at the national briefing on #Floods .

We reiterated the need to provide for the current needs of affected communities, but also plan support for recovery interventions.

It is now the second time Kenya is affected by floods in less than a year.

We need emergency assistance like the one provided by Kenya Red Cross in support of Government efforts.

But we also need longer term solutions to the climate crisis.
