Word that's making me smile today: clittery-cluttery. The definition in the 1840 General Dictionary of Provincialisms could launch a thousand poems: 'Changeable, applied to weather inclined to be stormy.'

How should I train for this tournament? Should I lift a few metaphors? Stretch a few similes? Run a few rhymes? Hydrate with some hyperbole? 🤔

I’ve noticed it’s Learn to Ride a Bike Day over the pond. I can get on board with that. I love reading this poem in schools because the kids automatically move their legs!

Word that's making me smile today: flimflam. It sounds like something flappers might have coined in the Roaring '20s, but it's almost 500 years old. It may date back to a Viking word (flimska, meaning mockery) that survived in some English dialects.

My quick fire offering for the The Toy
Took me back in time, so it did.

The 1989 version had a gold fish in it! Madness.

Any errors, do let me know
I am using an old iPhone SE “postage stamp” at the moment.
