These incredibly fabulous ikat coats - chapans & paranja donated to The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Washington, D.C. by Claire-Lise, a spouse to Joseph Presel, the U.S. Ambassador to 🇺🇿 who passed away recently. Discussed education for girls with #US Ambassador-at-Large for Global Women's Issues, Katrina Fotovat, including opportunities for online learning in #Afghanistan . She praised #Uzbekistan 's efforts to engage the Afghan girls in learning. Gender policy needs a regional approach.
