Who's the most unexpected person you've ever met? For me it's Mandy Rice Davies. I worked for her agent when she started writing books years after the Profumo scandal. MRD tried to remember my name. Ended up calling me 'Darling'. Perfume @ Xmas.

Wednesday 24th April is the date for the final poetry workshop of my residency University of Sussex. Sign up to read and write poems about Resilience. Does it mean 'coping' with problems or going inside to find more positive energy?

During the week in my block of flats - ignore everyone in the communal areas.

On Sunday, say 'Hi' to everyone, and act surprised when they don't answer back.

Has anyone read 'The Body Keeps the Score'? I've only just started it but not entirely at ease. I've been told a patient suffers trauma, only to then be informed he carried out atrocities in Vietnam. Trauma or retribution?

Exactly right. If you shouldn't have to pay for what your ancestors did, you shouldn't be paid for what they did either. Simple.

Yesterday, I thought about taking a long walk. I had to consider how busy it would be because I know people will walk into me, aim their dogs at me and generally find ways to let me know that white people have right of way. In London. In 2024. Incredible. 👎🏾

URGENT: Help @metpolice identify this sick racist earlier today in Romford!

WATCH as this coward physically threatens and subjects a group of women with his vile, horrific, racist and Islamophobic slurs. We stand with them in solidarity!

📢 Internet, please do your thing! 🚨

Many thanks to the 'Underworld' editors Ella Duffy, Kate Simpson and Leo Boix for hosting a wonderful night of poetry Royal Geographical Society (with IBG). The staff there took great care of us. I really appreciated pretending the non-alcoholic sparking drink was champagne! 🥂

It's still easy to find poems attributed to him online, and one begins 'these poems aren’t mine per se' which seems like hiding in plain sight.

Have you ever written a poem out of nowhere? I mean sitting down to do admin, reading someone else's poem, then starting one of your own that seems to have been born fully-formed?

Whenever I hear a Black or Brown person spout anti-Black/Brown rhetoric I hear panic. I think they want to 'inspire' anger for the harm they do so no one sees them quaking.

Look forward to performing two poems at this Magma Poetry launch today, and hearing all the other contributions to the latest 'Underworld' issue. 🌱

I think Kemi Badenoch believes her nonsense completely because she's terrified. If she doesn't spout claptrap for the patriarchy might she be sent 'home' on a boat? Pity is the only thing I can feel for her really.

I pity Kemi Badenoch greatly and see her as evidence that there's so much enormous change happening, the patriarchy has to elevate people like her.

Delighted to share my poem about a Black actress in the 18th century who played Juliet. The poem's written in solidarity with the actress Francesca Amewudah-Rivers who's faced such online abuse. RTs appreciated.

Avid readers, I'm really interested in why reimaginings of 'classic' literature are so popular. What do they allow us to do/think/feel?
