So glad you were able to say a few words, Alice, as you were instrumental in the residency. I have to say I personally loved the evening, especially seeing the workshop participants again and hearing their great poems in the open mic. Best of luck at Sussex.

For me this was a wonderful event! Overwhelmed at the great poems in the Open Mic, along with so many generous comments about the workshops. The Library staff organised it all brilliantly. The food was great. The non-alcoholic wine flowed! Perfect! 🦋📚💚💃🏾

I've said before, I'm writing something that is beyond me in every way. Now I'll add, I can't stop thinking about it. The challenge feels all-consuming, which is everything I could ever ask for when it comes to my work. 🦋📚✍️🏾💚

Good point. My poem 'After Auden' tries to offer a sense of the exploitation, as does my collection 'Map of a Plantation.' Are we living the legacies here and now?
