Lovely to catch up with the wonderful Liz Leffman who was in Parliament to hear about East-West rail.

Less than one week from resigning for breaching Ministerial Code. So much for the new commitments to integrity and accountability.

Iranian women have shown an astonishing amount of courage. It is frankly inspirational.

Today in the chamber I asked the Minster to commit to two things:

• A lifeboat scheme to offer sanctuary to Iranian women

• Provide extra funding to support BBC Persian

With Rishi Sunak appointed PM the Conservative Party have simply rearranged the chairs on the deck of the Titanic - the ship is sinking regardless of who's in charge.

📉 They trashed the economy and pushed health services to the brink.

🗳️ We need a general election now.

Since I was elected in June we’ve had: three Prime Ministers, four Chancellors of the Exchequer, three Home Secretaries, and two major cabinet reshuffles.

This is a far cry from stability – this is chaos. We need a General Election so that you can have your say on this new PM.
