Europeās plans for #NetZero GHG emissions need to be revised because they rely on carbon uptake by #forests . Heat & #drought , worsened by #ClimateChange , are significantly decreasing carbon uptake by #trees & even causing forests to be net carbon emitters.

New CA law requires coastal cities to develop plans to adapt to #SeaLevelRise . āSea level is already rising on our shorelines &more is already ābaked in.' The only questions are how fast the ocean will rise & whether or not #California will be prepared.ā

New study: The critical temperature threshold for melting the #Greenland ice sheet is between 1.7 and 2.3Ā°C of global warming, and even temporary overshoot will likely cause several meters of #SeaLevelRise . But stabilizing the ice sheet is still possible.
