This year, our Lions Club decided to provide a three-month full scholarship program that teaches education and life to the school children who appeared for the 5th-grade scholarship exam. 120 children participated. 120 parents also participated in this event.

Tholangamuwa Lions Club conducted a tree planting program at the Na Uyana Aranya senasanaya (Monastery)There were 73 Indonesians,Singaporeans, and Malaysians participated in this event. Many types of 150 plants were planted here including,Maila, Bakmee(cheesewood),Weera,Na trees

Tholangamuwa Lions Club conducted a tree planting program at the school on Teacher's Day. Many types of plants were planted here including Maila, Bakmee (cheese wood), Masang (Indian plum), Koboneela, Kaluvara, Nelli (Amla), Weera, Laulu (Canistel), Katu Anoda (Soursop)

Western medicine clinic organized by the Tholangamuwa Lions Club was held for teaching staff, retired teaching staff, and non-academic staff. Alumni doctors, nurses, and other alumni in the field of health participated in this. District 306 B2 Governor Lion Anura Dissanayake.

On the occasion of World Teacher's Day, an Ayurvedic Medical Clinic organized by the Tholangamuwa Lions Club was held for teaching staff, retired teaching staff, and non-teaching staff. Alumni doctors, nurses, and other health sector alumni participated in this.

September 17 is Tree Planting Day. Simultaneously, the Lions Club of Tholangamuwa conducted the tree planting program on the 16th and 18th of September at Dudley Senanayake Central College, Tholangamuwa in Sri Lanka.

In conjunction with the island-wide Cleanup Sri Lanka program conducted by the Sinha Samaj District 306B2, Tholangamuwa Sinha Samaj removed the undisposable garbage on both sides of the Colombo-Nuvara road. Zone chairmen Dr. Kamal Nelundeniya, Lions club members.

Tholangamuwa Cental College (in Sri Lanka) has prepared a 5-week special nutritional program for the athletes participating in the provincial games this year and 500 eggs needed for those 5 weeks were provided by our Lions Club of Tholangamuwa.
