I *just* gave a paper on this. The young person’s singing—and the reposting of her capture on social media—is a repetition of a truth we already know, which is the violent truth of antiblackness.

I visited the Gaza solidarity camp at Columbia yesterday and wanted to share a few
very brief observations.

First, it's one of the most highly organised student protests I've ever seen. They have media and de-escalation training, a nutzone to protest students with allergies.

I went to the Isle of May for my birthday - really I went to see seals and puffins but the 13th century chapel of St Adrian (2nd pic) always draws me in. Difficult to take time off properly when you’re an architectural historian!
